Infantile and mature personalities (part 2)

The development of technology and modern social environment facilitate Our existence and decrease adaptability.
Looking back a little, in ancient times people were forced to do much more work and make great efforts to survive. Namely, looking for food for yourself and your family, thinking about providing basic needs: heat, clothing. Modern parents, as a rule, take great care of their children, try to solve all problems for them and protect them from all threats, support their development in the quasi worlds of schools, social networks and computer games. As a result, from childhood, we plant the seeds of an infantile personality in children.

The development of technology and modern social environment facilitate Our existence and decrease adaptability. Why work from childhood or try to create a business from scratch, offering new products, when you can go to work for some “Big Boss” or great Corporation? Teachers are replaced by bosses, pupils by colleagues, lessons are replaced by meaningless meetings and planning, grades are replaced by wages. Why grow up when the boss is to blame for everything, why be responsible when everyone is to blame for everything around, why try to succeed when “everything is bad” around?

Unfortunately, in ordinary organizations in context of prevailing hierarchies, social corporate environment and generally accepted norms, we constantly face the problems of bullying, gaslighting and abuse. However, hidden, veiled forms of this behavior are unambiguously present in most organizations.

Such dynamics generate toxic people, usually triadic personalities (combining: psychopathy, machiavellianism and narcissism). At times it may seem that existence of organizations, the work of government bodies and corporations and our own work is aimed only at meeting the needs of such predators. After all, if you think about our society of tolerance, conformism and prevailing infantilism gives rise to "saints" and "predators". Both those and others rigidly manipulates and parasitizes Us and Our lives.

By predators, I mean the representatives of the dark triad. Namely, the machiavellian successfully manipulates the boss's opinion; the psychopath is cold and cruel enough to push others back without any guild and compassion; the narcissist will convince himself of his own greatness, leaving others behind the scenes. Skillful use and disguise of unsightliness aspects of their actions through office intrigue makes triadic type person invincible.

Thus, the modern environment of suppressing the weak by the strong, constant competition for resources and influence, the need to adjust and curry favor with bosses and officials who are nothing of themselves, and perhaps have signs of dark triad, only strengthen our desire to escape from responsibility and problems, to hide deep in our sink...
