Remote work is gradually becoming the norm in many areas. Already now, as a result of significant migration of IT specialists to remote locations, the industry is becoming global. Many employees work remotely for large companies for Moscow salaries from their cities. A significant number of IT experts began to consider foreign employers and get a job in international companies, physically working from Russia.
What can a modern person oppose to the challenges of our time? The managerial competencies that distinguish VUCA leaders are described by Bob Johansen in Leaders Make the Future: Ten New Leadership Skills for an Uncertain World. The next generation of leaders are distinguished by Vision, Understanding, Clarity and Agility - the VUCA Prime model.

1. Vision, which is realized through openness, the presence and maintenance of communication with the outside world, with the people around you, will allow you to keep abreast of events and constantly adjust your model. Courage and self-confidence, proactivity and creativity, continuous learning and self-development can significantly increase our chances of success. Striving for independence and freedom, capitalizing yourself, developing your own projects will certainly strengthen you and increase the likelihood of achieving goals.
2. Understanding is the development of awareness, intelligence and vision. Curiosity and inquisitiveness of the mind, constant learning, an open mind and no fear of failure, adherence to goals are what determine the real winners. However, do not forget about life balance, the need for harmony, empathy and the requirement to replenish energy reserves.
3. Clarity is the ability to separate the wheat from the chaff. In an era of turbulence and an excess of information, you need to be able to clearly see your goals, make the right decisions, the skills of analysis, synthesis, generalization and simplification in working with information are important. At the same time, systemic thinking allows you to structure and holistically perceive the overall picture, taking into account the connections of individual elements.
4. Quickness means that you need to stop being blunt. Determination and willingness to follow your goals, readiness to sacrifice little for the sake of more. «Innovation and development» or «degradation and prosing», this is how the question stands in today's new world. Refusal of procrastination, stupid belief that I will always find a place in this world, understanding that there is only "today" or "never."
